Time is running out to buy an engraved brick to honor a veteran in the Riverhead VFW’s memorial garden outside the post on Parkway Street.

The deadline for purchase is Sept. 15. Bricks cost $35 each and can be ordered by downloading the below form and sending it with your check (payable to VFW Auxiliary) to: Riverhead VFW Auxiliary, Post 2476, 620 Parkway St., Riverhead NY 11901.

The 4” by 8” bricks will be engraved in all capital letters, up to three lines of text, up to 18 characters per line (including punctuation), centered.

The garden honors all military veterans. The veteran honored need not be a member or past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The auxiliary intends to have all the bricks installed and the memorial garden completed by Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
