Jamesport Fire Department will host an open house at its training center, 25 Manor Lane in Jamesport of Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
Demonstrations include: vehicle extrication, vehicle fire, K-9 arson dog, fire extinguisher trailer, booster hose target activities for elementary students and pedal car rides for teenagers and adults to promote education and DWI enforcement.
Participants include: Jamesport Fire Department, New York State Police, The New York Guard, Riverhead Fire Marshal’s Office, Suffolk County Sheriff, Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services, Riverhead Police and Marine Bureau, United States Coast Guard, Riverhead Ambulance and the Peconic Bay Medical Center.
This event is sponsored by State Sen. Anthony Palumbo and is free and open to the public.
