The MTA will be working on the LIRR grade crossing on Kroemer Avenue in Riverhead on Thursday starting around 7:30 p.m. Work is expected to continue through 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Riverhead Police said in a press release.
While work is ongoing, there will be no through-access across the Kroemer Avenue crossing. Police encourages drivers to plan ahead and use an alternate route.
