Eugene Alexander Pacholk of Riverhead died July 1, 2026, at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore. He was 73 years old.
BornNov. 10, 1952 in Riverhead, he was a lifelong resident. He was married to Wendy (Quinn) Pacholk for 49 years. He was a former clammer on the East End and later retired from Mattituck High School, where he served as chief custodian.
His family said he loved horse racing, NASCAR, the bay and being near the water. They also said he hated the heat and humidity, was a very hard worker who put family first, loved ice cream and was a devoted Christian.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy; his son, Aaron; his daughter, Abaigeal Hillyard; and three grandchildren.
Services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead.
