In response to OLA’s Minerva Perez’s open letter to the Town Board and the public.  I would like to share my perspective.

This is my personal response and this does not reflect the opinions of any other Town Board member.

I support ICE, our Police Department, and the rule of law as essential to maintaining safe communities.

I support individuals who have come to this country but believe it should be done legally through a valid visa or proper immigration process.

I believe our tax dollars should support our own citizens, including veterans, seniors, individuals experiencing homelessness, and struggling families, first.

As your Town Board representative, my responsibility is to prioritize the residents of the Town of Riverhead. I will continue to support policies that protect our community, before anyone else.

For those seeking to be part of the American Dream, I encourage you to follow the appropriate legal process to enter or remain in the United States lawfully.
