Day Haven Adult Day Services

Day Haven Adult Services in Riverhead will host the "Aging in Place – Resources in Caring for a Loved One at Home" seminar Thursday, Sept. 12, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The former Riverhead Country Day School building adjacent to Stotzky Park has taken on a new life — yes, it’s still a day care center but the hallway that connects the rooms in the north end of the building to those in the south end now bridges a generational gap that spans decades.

“This has been a godsend. It’s tough to see your loved one slowly disappear.” The center offers a safe, clean environment, healthy meals and plenty of activity. It also offers caregivers respite from the demands of their responsibilities.
