Riverhead drug dealer pleads guilty to manslaughter, heroin sale in fatal overdose
John Brophy, 49, who with LaShawn Lawrence, 35, of Greenport, was accused of dealing heroin cut with fentanyl that caused the overdose death of a man in Riverhead last September, pleaded guilty last week to criminal sale of a narcotic drug and second-degree manslaughter.

The opiate overdose reversal drug naloxone (Narcan) will be made available without prescription at 479 CVS Pharmacy locations throughout New York, with plans in the works to add 1,000 more pharmacies early this year, according to state officials.
