There’s a giant bee in downtown Riverhead — and it wants your empty cans. The new bottle-guzzling sculpture was unveiled Tuesday in downtown Riverhead.

Downtown Riverhead’s community garden is starting its ninth season with brand-new garden beds, courtesy of Sheet Metal Air Rail Transportation Union Local 28.

No experience? No problem. Each garden has the resources to help you get started and have a successful season. If you enjoy being outdoors, planting, and reaping the rewards, then community gardening might be for you.
