Riverhead cheerleaders

Last year was the first time Riverhead Cheerleading ever made as far as the semi-finals, but after nine of the team’s 12 cheerleaders graduated in May 2015, the team had to start from the ground-up in September.

The Riverhead varsity cheerleading squad returned home to a noisy welcome Monday night at Riverhead High School after competing at the National High School Cheerleading Competition in Orlando, Florida this weekend, where they advanced to the semifinals for the first time in program history.
