Mercy falls to Hauppauge in home opener

The game was tied at 5 in the sixth inning but Hauppauge broke it open with seven runs in the top of the seventh. Mercy answered with three in the bottom of the inning, but Hauppauge held on for a 12-8 win.

Softball playoffs: Mercy falls to Center Moriches in first game of Class B playoffs, 16-3

Mercy will get another shot at the Class B Championship Monday, when they face the loser of Saturday’s playoff game between Center Moriches and Babylon.

Riverhead fought hard but was unable to overcome a strong Sachem North Thursday afternoon during a home game, ultimately losing 13-4.
