Riverhead fought hard but was unable to overcome a strong Sachem North Thursday afternoon during a home game, ultimately losing 13-4.
Third baseman Allyson O’Kula drove in three of the Blue Waves’ four runs with an RBI double in the first inning and an RBI triple in the fifth, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Flaming Arrows, who took the lead after a big third inning and held onto it for the rest of the game.
Riverhead (3-9) will play at Northport tomorrow at 4:30 p.m.
