Update- Sept. 13: The man found dead in a wooded area in Riverside Sept. 1 has been identified as Adam Jackson, age 39, Southampton Town Police said in a press release Sept. 12. No further information was provided and police did not return a phone call seeking information about the man’s residence or cause of death.

A man was found dead today in a wooded area near the county center in Riverside, according to Southampton Town Police.
The man was found by another person walking in the area around 11 a.m., Southampton Police said in a press release. The person who found the body notified law enforcement and Southampton Town Police, Suffolk County Homicide Detectives, Suffolk County Crime Scene and the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene, according to police.
No foul play is suspected and an investigation is ongoing, Southampton Police said. The man’s identity is currently unknown.
