William F. Tyree, of Cutchogue, died June 1, 2012. He was 82 years old.

The CEO of Tyree Company, he was co-founder of Osprey’s Dominion Vineyards in Peconic. He was chairman of St. Christopher Ottllie/Madonna Heights, a member of the Knights of Columbus Marian Council, and a board member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. 

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara (McKinney) his children Billy (Joyce), Jackie (Al) Kos, Larry (Laurie), Timmy (Mary), Bobbi (Ken) Ross, Stephen (Lori Ann), Tammy (Ben) Kauffman, and daughter-in-law Anna. He was predeceased by his son, Tommy. He is also survived by a brother, Joseph, and sisters Ann Reiger and Pat McIntyre, and by 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors Saturday 6-8 p.m. and Sunday, 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Coster-Heppner Funeral Home, 32470 Main Road, Cutchogue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church in Southold. Interment will follow at Cutchogue Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Tyree Learning Center, 1 Alexander Place, Glen Cove, N.Y. 11542.
