The Riverhead Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teen, according to a department media release.
Police said Luis Zometa Acosta, 17, left his residence on Elton in Riverhead on May 30 at about 2 p.m.
Zometa Acosta is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 150 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, police said. He was last seen wearing a white coat and blue pants.
No foul play is suspected, police said.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Department at (631) 727-4500. Police said all calls will be kept confidential. Tips about suspicious or criminal activity can also be reported to the department’s Crime Hotline at (631) 727-3333, police said.
