The first baby of 2015 born at Peconic Bay Medical Center entered the world at 8:45 a.m. today.

The 6-pound, 12-ounce bundle of joy was born to Jennifer and Donald Sayre of Greenport. Harper Emmeline, measuring 19 inches long, was delivered by Dr. Zeinab Fath-El Bab.

Mother and child are both doing well, PBMC communications manager Mary Thomas said.
