A man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash on Sound Avenue in Baiting Hollow this afternoon.
The man arrested was operating a BMW westbound on Sound Avenue when he crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and hit a Ford pickup truck, police said. The impact of the crash caused the truck to overturn.
The driver of the BMW was arrested for DWI, police said.
Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance responded but neither driver required transport to the hospital.
