Six candidates are vying for three open seats on the Riverhead Board of Education. Two of the open seats will serve from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2019. The other seat will complete the term of a former board member, beginning May 18, 2016 and expiring in June 30, 2017.
The candidates are (in order of ballot position):
- Gregory John Fischer of Calverton
- Laurie A. Downs of Riverhead
- Christopher Dorr of Baiting Hollow, incumbent
- Bradford Harnig of Baiting Hollow
- Thomas W. Kruger of Riverhead
- Amelia Lantz of Riverhead, incumbent
The election will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
