Rasheeda Brown, who led police on two car chases through three towns and escaped from police custody at Peconic Bay Medical Center on Sept. 17, will be arraigned today on a 28-count indictment in Suffolk County Criminal Court in Central Islip.

Brown is charged with multiple felonies in the indictment, handed down by a grand jury and unsealed by the court this morning, including grand larceny in the third degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree both D felonies each punishable by up to 7 years in prison.
Brown is also charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree, attempted grand larceny in the fourth degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree, escaping custody, unlawfully fleeing a police officer, unauthorized use of a vehicle and speed violations.
Brown is scheduled for a 10 a.m. arraignment before Judge John Toomey in Suffolk County Criminal Court in Central Islip.
