Santas, elves, reindeer — even a gorilla dressed in a Santa suit were among the costumed revelers in the holiday spirit who descended on downtown Riverhead this evening for the third annual Riverhead SantaCon.
The event is a fundraiser for local charities, with proceeds from the sales of $10 SantaCon bracelets this year going to the animal rescue group RSVP. Bracelets entitle wearers to specials at restaurants participating in the pub crawl.
Riverhead SantaCon is organized by the Suffolk Theater, which hosted a dance party with DJ Phil beginning at 7 p.m.
