A rollover crash at the intersection of Horton and Reeves avenues this afternoon sent two people to the hospital.
A Lexus crossover southbound on Horton Avenue and a westbound Mercedes sedan collided in the intersection shortly before 2 p.m., according to Riverhead Police. The Mercedes overturned and crashed through the deer fencing on the property of an adjacent farm at the southwest corner of the intersection.
The drivers, both males, were transported by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps with injuries police said were not life-threatening.
There were no arrests made or summonses issued, police said. The accident is under investigation.
Horton Avenue was closed to southbound traffic between Reeves Avenue and the Middle Road traffic circle.
