The Class of 2021 arrived at Riverhead High School yesterday.
More than 400 incoming freshmen and their parents attended the high school orientation program yesterday, where they met teachers, advisers, guidance counselors and administrators.
“Our freshman orientation offered the incoming Class of 2021 and their parents an opportunity to get acquainted with the high school. It is a great way to start the school-parent partnership,” said high school principal Dr. Charles Regan.
To further expand on the school-parent relationship, the school, for the first time, provided real-time translation to Spanish-speaking parents using a headset system similar to those provided for audio museum tours.
The incoming ninth-graders had tours of the school led by volunteer upperclassmen and NJROTC cadets.
