The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce and the Riverhead Industrial Development Agency are looking for businesses to join them in a job expo being co-sponsored by the organizations.
The chamber and the IDA have joined forces to host the East End Employment Expo for Riverhead and surrounding areas on Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Sea Star Ballroom, adjacent to the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center.
The Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting reservations from businesses for this event. Riverhead-based businesses, Chamber members and certified businesses in the Suffolk County Empire Zone are invited to participate at no cost. All other companies are welcome to participate for a nominal fee or have the option of joining the Chamber of Commerce.
Space is limited, and registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Businesses registering in a timely manner will be included in the event advertising along with the employment expo handout for event attendees. According to the chamber’website, between 200 and 300 job seekers attend the expo.
