An employee at a Main Street bar was arrested for selling alcohol to a minor in an undercover operation by Riverhead Town Police, according to a police press release.
Police said Stacy K. Langsdorf of Hampton Bays, an employee at Vines and Hops at 127 E. Main St., has been charged with unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree.
The investigation was conducted in cooperation with the Riverhead Community Awareness Program, utilizing an underage agent to attempt to purchase alcohol, police said.
Three additional locations were inspected and found to be in compliance, police said. They were: Riverhead Stationery, 407 E. Main St.; Applebee’s, 1832 Old Country Road, and Buffalo Wild Wings, 1761 Old Country Road.
Editor’s note: A criminal charge is an accusation. By law, a person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
