Riverhead Town Highway crews will be paving portions of Horton and Sound avenues today, Highway Superintendent George Woodson said this morning.
Horton Avenue between Sound and Reeves avenues will be closed for paving until about noon, Woodson said.
Sound Avenue between Northville Turnpike and West Lane will be closed to traffic in both directions from noon until about 2 p.m., he said.
Road closings are “necessary for the safety of our workers,” Woodson said. Access will be allowed for local traffic only.
Motorists should seek other routes to avoid delays.
