Ever wonder what it is like to work as a police officer?
Southampton Town Police are offering residents the chance to participate in a free “civilian academy,” a 14-week course about police work in the local community.
The course will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 24 and will continue weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9:30 p.m. It will take place at Southampton Town Police Headquarters in Hampton Bays.
Seats are limited to Southampton Town residents on a first-come, first-serve basis. Seats will be offered to non-residents if available seats are not filled by residents.
