Three people were arrested last night as part of an enforcement action by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s DWI Task Force in Riverhead Town.
Members of the Riverhead Police Department, New York State Police, Southold Police Department and the Shelter Island Police Department conducted increased enforcement throughout the Town of Riverhead, where several checkpoints had been established throughout the evening.
Epifanio Valey Ajvix, 27, of Riverhead was charged with driving while ability impaired.
Kenneth B. Rivero Jr., 57, of Riverhead was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Dawn E. Baker, 43, of Riverhead was charged with driving while intoxicated.
All three were transported to the Riverhead Police Department, where they were processed. Rivero was released on an Appearance Ticket. Valey Ajvix and Dawn Baker were held for a.m. arraignment.
