Riverhead fell to Bay Shore 14-3 yesterday at the Pulaski Street Sports Complex.
Bay Shore came out hitting, as Riverhead used three different pitchers to contain the Marauders’ bats, but to no avail. Nick Dejewski got the start for Riverhead, but was pulled by the fourth inning, with the score 7-1, due to some sloppy field play on what should have been easy outs. Riverhead was able to get a few runs, one in the first, third, and fifth innings but Bay Shore pitching shut down Riverhead for the remainder of the game.
Riverhead (2-9 in League III) will play its next game Tuesday, April 24, when the Waves host Smithtown West at 4:30 p.m.
