If only one percent more Americans donated blood, blood shortages would disappear according to the American Red Cross. It’s a simple, quick and safe way to help members of the community.
There will be a community blood drive on June 5 from 1 to 7 pm at the Riverhead Fire Department headquarters building on Roanoke Ave. Walk-ins are welcome.
Every donor will receive a free scoop of ice cream courtesy of Stu at Snowflake.
