Riverhead Little League is looking for some financial support to help send its World Series team to the New York State Tournament on Tuesday, July 24.

The 11/12-year-old All Star team notched an exciting walk-off win Tuesday, beating Plainview 3-2 on a base hit by David Raynor with runners on second and third, to take the L.I. Championship.

“The Riverhead Little League is asking for donations to help defer the cost of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” the league said in a press release.

Supporters should mail donations to Riverhead Little League, P.O. Box 743, Riverhead NY 11901. For more information contact [email protected]
