East End Arts will hold its annual membership meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. at the organization’s East Main Street headquarters.
A tent will be erected on the lawn outside the carriage house to accommodate the annual membership meeting and volunteer appreciation event, East End Arts said in a press release. A light dinner will be served to attendees.
East End Arts board president John McLane said the organization “has just finished a very successful fundraising gala that will set us up to create a sustainable five-year plan for programming and operations.” Included in that plan McLane says is an idea to create preferred housing downtown for artists — a strategy EEA hopes will help transform downtown at the same time it will contribute to EEA’s sustainability.
At the event, East End Arts will introduce the organization’s next executive director, who will succeed longtime executive director Patricia Snyder, who announced in March she would leave the post at the end of the year.
East End Arts will also present its volunteer of the year award at the event.
RSVP for the event by Wednesday, Aug. 15. For more information, and to RSVP, click here.
