The grand opening of East End Arts’ annual holiday gift boutique will take place Nov. 10 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at the East End Arts Gallery, located at 133 E. Main Street. The staff says the gallery will be transformed into a wonderland of handmade items perfect for gifting to special friends and loved ones: There will be heirloom handmade ornaments, one-of-a-kind jewelry and wearables, unique knits, woodwork, crafts, and so much more at a wide variety of price points. In the past, visitors have come from all over Long Island to the gift boutique to buy hand-made, artistic gifts. All items in the holiday gift boutique are the unique creations of East End Arts’ talented member-artists. Visitors will be able to meet the artisans at the grand opening.
From 1 to 2 p.m. at East End Arts School, next door at 141 East Main Street, there will be a free session where young children (toddlers to 5 year-olds) will have the opportunity to try out a variety of instruments. Musicians from Stony Brook will introduce young ones to the magic of musical instruments.
The holiday gift boutique opens on Nov. 10 and runs through Dec. 22. The shopping hours this year are Fridays and Saturdays from 12 to 5 p.m. Shopping local will support the arts.
