The Riverhead Community Blood Drive will be held Tuesday, March 5, from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Riverhead Fire Department headquarters.
Those donating must bring ID with a signature or photo. The minimum weight requirement is 110 lbs. and ages 16 and up may donate (ages 16 must have parental permission; ages 76 and over must have a doctor’s note).
In order to donate, participants must not have received a tattoo within the past 12 months.
Those attending are encouraged to eat a low-fat meal and drink plenty of fluids. Each donor will receive a coupon for a free McDonald’s large sandwich.
