The Riverhead Lions Club celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with its annual corned beef and cabbage dinner last night at Polish Hall.

Diners enjoyed a traditional meal of corned beef, cabbage, carrots and potatoes — along with Irish music and dance performances by Inishfree School of Irish Dance.

The Lions Club St. Patrick’s Day dinner is a Riverhead tradition dating back more than two decades. It is a fundraiser that supports the charitable activities of the club, which was chartered in 1947 as part of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club organization.
