Long Island Science Center will be holding summer camps beginning July 22. The camps are available for children ages 5-11.

Da Vinci Inventorium Camp will run from Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants will learn about the life, world and inventions of Leonardo da Vinci and design and engineer their own inventions. Each child will make a da Vinci model replica to take home.

Mad Chemistry Camp will take place from Monday, July 29, through Friday, Aug. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants will perform chemistry experiments following daily themes, and will make “phlubber,” analyze substances, make ice cream and more.

Drop off for camps begins at 8:45 a.m. and pickup continues until 12:15 p.m.

The cost is $295 per child, per week, with a $25 discount per session if multiple sessions are booked per child. LISC members will receive an additional $25 discount.
