Riverhead Rotary provided $39,500 to Riverhead High School seniors. Several of the seniors were present at a recent rotary meeting.
The awards are as follows:
- Eric Behr and Dominic Bossey: W. Bruce Stark Memorial Scholarship – $11,500 each
- Emely Mendez and Brittney Miller: Riverhead Rotary Scholarships – $4,000 each
- Annaly Izurieta: Hallock Luce III Memorial Scholarship – $2,500
- Sarah Rempe: Daniel Kohn Truetech Scholarship – $1,000
- Karina Ellis and Lucy Dow: Riverhead Rotary Past Presidents Scholarship – $1,000 each
- Anthony Bassone: Robert K. Boden Memorial Scholarship – $1,000
- Marina Tedesco: Riverhead Rotary BOCES Scholarship – $1,000
- Cadet Kamala Covert: Riverhead Rotary NJROTC Scholarship – $1,000
Most of the scholarship funds provided were raised during the annual Riverhead Rotary Golf Outing, which is set to take place Sept. 18, 2019, at The Vineyards Golf Club. For more information, contact Thud Hill at Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch in Riverhead.
