Riverhead turned out to support the Riverhead Blue Waves football team with a big Homecoming Day parade up Main Street this afternoon.

The Riverhead High School NJROTC, marching band, cheerleaders, Riverhead PAL football and cheerleading squads, school officials, town officials, Riverhead Fire Department, Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Flanders Fire Department and Flanders-Northampton Volunteer Ambulance participated in the parade which stepped off on Main Street at East Avenue and proceeded west to Osborn Avenue then north to the Pulaski athletic complex.

The theme for the class floats this year was 1930s movies:

Class of 2020 (seniors) – “Wizard of Oz”

Class of 2021 (juniors) – “Snow White”

Class of 2022 (sophomores) – “Romeo and Juliet”

Class of 2023 (freshmen) – “Frankenstein”
