Riverhead’s Santa Parade and holiday bonfire have been postponed to Saturday, Dec. 21 due to forecasted inclement weather this Saturday, Town Supervisor Laura Jens-Smith announced this afternoon.

The National Weather Service is forecasting rain all day Saturday and Saturday evening, with gusty winds.

The parade will begin on Main Street at 3 p.m. next Saturday and the bonfire event follows afterward on the Peconic Riverfront.

Children will have a chance to visit with Santa in his gingerbread house on the riverfront next Saturday.
