Donate blood on Tuesday, March 3 from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Riverhead Firehouse at 540 Roanoke Avenue in Riverhead.
Every two seconds a person needs a blood donation and donated red blood cells only have a shelf life of 42 days.
To donate volunteers must be 16 to 75 years old, if under 17 bring a parental permission slip. All participants must bring a photo ID such as a driver’s license, school ID card, or passport.
