Southampton Town Police report the arrest of a Coram man on grand larceny and driving while intoxicated charges last night.

Police said Christopher Pappas, 41, stole a vehicle left idling at the Shell station on the traffic circle in Riverside last night. Police found Pappas stopped in the area of County Road 94 and the L.I. Expressway service road in Calverton at about 9 p.m., according to a police press release.

Officers determined Pappas to be in an intoxicated condition, the release said.

Pappas was charged with felony Driving While Intoxicated (previous conviction in 10 years) Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (Felony) and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree (Felony).
