Police arrested a man on robbery and grand larceny charges yesterday after he took a vehicle from a Route 58 auto dealership, according to a police press release.

Police said Taiquell Woodson, age 33, no address reported, entered Peconic Bay Motors on Route 58 yesterday shortly before 4:30 p.m. Woodson entered the business and removed a set of keys for a 2015 BMW, police said. He then entered the vehicle and, when approached by an employee who tried to stop him, threatened the employee, according to the police report. He then fled the dealership in the vehicle, police said.

Woodson and the vehicle were later located at a residence in Bay Shore by Suffolk County Police, according to the report.

He was taken into custody and charged with one count of Robbery in the Second Degreee, a class C felony, and one count of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a class D felony, police said.
