Southampton Town Police Department crime reports for the week of Thursday, Dec. 7 through Wednesday, Dec. 13:
Brayan Contreras, 24, of Calverton was arrested on Dec. 8 at about 10:45 p.m.police responded to a call about a man possibly going through vehicles. Police located Contreras alongside a residence that was not his. During the investigation it was discovered that Contreras had a glass pipe containing a narcotic in the sleeve of his sweater. Contreras was arrested and transported to Southampton Town Police Headquarters for processing where he was released on a desk appearance ticket for a later court date.
Edwin Llapa, 30, of Flanders, was arrested on Dec. 8 at about 11:58 p.m., on a charge of felony DWI under Leandra’s Law (child passenger in the vehicle), driving while intoxicated within 10 years of a prior DWI conviction, endangering the welfare of a child and numerous traffic infractions. Llapa was held for arraignment.
Bryan Ajcuc, 22, of Shirley was arrested on an active bench warrant on Dec. 9 after Southampton Police were contacted by Suffolk County Police to confirm an active bench warrant for. The warrant was confirmed and
Ajcuc was transferred to Southampton Town Police Department and held for morning arraignment.
Bryam Saldana Contreras, 24, of Calverton, was arrested on Dec. 9 at about 5 p.m. after unlawfully entering the backyard of a residence in Riverside, where he did not reside and had not received permission to enter, through a closed gate and refused to leave when asked to do so. He was processed and released to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court at a later date.
Reginald Cain, 54, of Riverside was arrested on Dec. 10 at approximately 2:56 a.m.on an outstanding arrest warrant for violating an order of protection. Cain was also wanted on charges for an assault that occurred in Riverside on Oct. 9. Cain was charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, and Assault in the Third Degree, both misdemeanors. He was held for arraignment.
Juan David Lopez-Orozco, 33, of Flanders was arrested Dec. 11 at approximately 6:39 p.m. after he was observed operating a motor vehicle while traveling westbound on Montauk Highway in Sagaponack, failing to maintain his lane of travel. He was stopped by police, interviewed and found to be in an impaired condition after using drugs. Lopez-Orozco
was arrested and transported to the Southampton Town Police Department Headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment on charges of Driving While Ability Impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor, and several traffic infractions.
