Riverhead PAL football & cheerleading registration dates coming up

Riverhead PAL football and cheerleading in-person/uniform fit registration will take place April 15 and May 1 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Riverhead Senior Center, 60 Shade Tree Lane, Riverhead.

Note: The April 10 registration date is canceled.

Riverhead PAL encourages everyone to sign up for an online account with DaySmart Recreation, the platform now being used by the Riverhead Town Recreation Department.

Creating an account on DaySmart Recreation will reduce additional paperwork and cut down on wait times during in-person registration. 

Registration fees and requirements are as follows: 

Tackle Football – Resident: $200, non-resident: $210

Ages: 7, 8. (As of Dec. 1, child must be at least 7 but not yet 9.)

Ages 9,10,11. (As of Sept. 1, child must be 9, but not yet 11.)

A birth certificate is required at registration for new players

Flag Football – Resident $60, Non Resident $70

Ages 5, 6  (As of Dec. 1, child must be 5, but not yet 7.)

Birth certificate required at registration for new players.

Cheerleading: Resident $110, non-resident $120

Girls entering 2nd through 6th grades in fall 2024.

Cheer registration is in-person only. Wear bathing suit for uniform fit.

PRACTICES: Tuesday & Thursday evening practices start mid-July and continue through the season at Stotzky Park.

GAMES: Sundays, September through November at various fields throughout Suffolk County

Football: Number of games vary by age level (approx. 8-10 – half home/half away) Flag Football: (approx. 6-8 games – half home/half away)

Cheerleaders cheer at ALL home & away football games.
