Southampton Town Police reported three arrests for driving while intoxicated in the Riverside-Flanders area last week.

Roman Romanyuk, 63, of Riverhead was charged with driving while intoxicated after the vehicle he was operating was observed by Riverhead Police striking two street sign posts on Flanders Road in Riverside on July 10 at about 5 p.m., according to police. The vehicle he was operating came to a rest on the curb, police said. Southampton Town Police officers interviewed Romanyuk and found him to be intoxicated, according to the report. He was arrested, transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters and processed on a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated. He was held for morning arraignment, police said.

Jose DeLeon-Gonzalez, 29, of Riverhead was arrested on July 13 at about 2:20 a.m. after a traffic stop for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation at Flanders Road near Ludlam Avenue in Riverside, police said. Upon further

investigation, officers determined that DeLeon-Gonzalez was intoxicated, according to the report. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for

Processing, police said.

Rudy Alvarado-Tacatic, 29, of Flanders, was arrested on July 14 at about 1:40 a.m. following a traffic stop on  Cypress Avenue in the area of Flanders Road in Flanders, police said. Upon further investigation, officers determined that Alvarado-Tacatic was intoxicated, according to the report. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where he was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
