The intersection of Osborn Avenue and Court Street and areas in proximity to the intersection will be closed to traffic three days this week and three days next week for the installation of a water main.
The closures will take place Wednesday, Nov. 5 through Friday, Nov. 7 and Monday, Nov. 10 through Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Riverhead Town Police said in a press release.
Motorists should allow extra time and take alternate routes to avoid the closures.
Riverhead Free Library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 6 due to the construction, the library said in a post on its website. Regular hours will esume on Friday, the library said.
