The MTA will be working to rehabilitate the Edgar Avenue LIRR crossing in Aquebogue Thursday and Friday this week, requiring the crossing to be closed to through traffic.
The road in the area of the Edgar Avenue crossing will be closed from Thursday, Nov. 13 at 5 a.m. through Friday, Nov. 14 at 11 p.m. Local traffic can use alternative routes via Shade Tree Lane to Hubbard Avenue, and Washington Avenue to Peconic Bay Blvd/Meeting House Creek Road. Riverhead Police said.
