Susan S. Keeney of Calverton died May 25, 2026, at home. She was 80 years old.
Born in Brooklyn Nov. 30, 1945, she was the daughter of Joseph and Evelyn Syrewicz. She graduated from Riverhead High School in 1962 and worked as a senior account clerk with the Town of Riverhead. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She was involved with the Save A Pet Foundation.
She was predeceased by her husband Stanley in 2018.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine Caravousano of Calverton; her brother, James Syrewicz of Texas; and her grandchildren, Christopher, Frank and Joseph.
The family will receive visitors Saturday, June 20, from 3 to 6 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
