Riverhead Council Member Tim Hubbard received a $1,000 contribution to his supervisor campaign from a lobbying firm that represents EPCAL buyer Calverton Aviation and Technology, campaign finance records filed last week show. 

Supervisor Yvette Aguiar has refunded over $15,000 in campaign contributions that exceeded the legal contribution limit for her office, according to the final campaign disclosure report filed by her campaign committee with the State Board of Elections yesterday.

Democrat Laura Ahearn has outpaced Republican Anthony Palumbo in fundraising so far in the campaign for the First Senate District. Assembly candidates Laura Jens-Smith (D) and Jodi Giglio (R) are about even.
