Decrying the “unlawful and unfair” 2020-2021 quota allocated to New York in the commercial fluke (summer flounder) fishery, state officials announced a federal lawsuit against the U.S. Commerce Department.

Rep. Lee Zeldin called on New York members on the fisheries management commission to step down if they can't fight more aggressively for New York's fishermen, who “year after year continue to get screwed.”
