The stately Corinthian columns and broad staircase at the entrance to the 1929 courthouse on Griffing Avenue were a fitting backdrop for a candlelight memorial service in Riverhead last night for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died Friday at age 87.

The Reeves Park community, which lost two residents, both NYC firefighters who died in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, hosted its 10th annual candlelight walk and remembrance service last night.

The Riverhead community stood together Friday night for a vigil in Grangebel Park to remember the victims of last week's massacre in Orlando.
