Objections from town officials have resulted in the withdrawal of a request for proposals issued earlier this month by the State Parks Department, State Senator Ken LaValle said today.

Laura Jens-Smith said the town is not properly vetting suitors for land at the park and criticized the supervisor for using the site's potential as "a political football."
